Role of intra articular administration of adult mesenchymal progenitor cells in the management of osteoarthritis of knee: A prospective study

Background: Various modalities of treatment are defined for the osteoarthritis knee. The spectrum ranges from pharmacological management to surgical in form total knee replacement. Another attractive modality is use adult mesenchymal progenitor cells osteoarthritis. We studied effect on ongoing degenerative process as well its role clinical and functional outcome. Materials Methods: 70 patients presenting our outpatient department between July 2018 June 2020 satisfying inclusion exclusion criteria were included study. This prospective study was approved by local ethical committee. Follow-up at 6th week subsequently 3, 6, 12 months post procedure. Clinical outcome measured using Visual Analogue Scale (Pain Grading); Cartilage healing according MRI (Magnetic Resonance Observation Repair Tissue (MOCART) Scale) before procedure procedure(first dose); Diagnostic arthroscopy with biopsy staining affected area (first dose) whereas International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) System Score. Results: During analysis we had 60 under out which 24 Grade II osteoarthritis, 20 III 16 IV Significant improvement terms IKDC Score observed having followed least significant A similar VAS score, MOCART scale score diagnostic (p
